Sleep When Someone Is Snoring

In Day time we face different types of problems and its our daily routine . God has given us day for work and calm night for stress free sleeping . But some of us can't be able to sleep with someone who is snoring ,this lack of sleep may affect our day time routine also . lack of sleeping may cause some serious effects.

Some of the more general effects of lack of sleep include:

  • blurry vision
  • depression (While depression can cause a lack of sleep, it can also arise from sleep deprivation.)
  • dizziness
  • dramatic weight loss or gain
  • hallucinations
  • heart disease
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • irritability
  • memory loss
  • nausea
  • tremors
  • trouble speaking.

To avoid these effects, here are some tips on how to sleep with the person next to you who is snoring :

  • First, see if you can avoid the problem completely. Is the brother or sister you share a room with the one keeping you up? If so, ask for permission to move into another room. It might be time for separate bedrooms, or see if you can trade with another sibling who's a deeper sleeper and won't be as affected. You don't need any more tips if you can avoid sleeping with one who is snoring.
  • If you and the snorer have separate beds, try putting up a partition. This can be a simple as a flowery curtain or a large as bookcases stacked up together in the middle of the room. This might give you and your little sister some privacy, or just keep your brother's snoring on his side of the room.
  • Use best quality ear plugs.
  • Use of sound generator devices may be quite good. A sound generator allows you to select from a number of different background noises (rushing stream, rain falling, 'white noise', etc.) that are good at blocking out other noises.
  • loud snoring might require the use of earphones, but be very careful not to turn it too loud—sound levels that don't seem too excessive under normal circumstances can cause ear damage if you have the earphones on all night. Use the generator without earphones if at all possible. Also works for drowning out barking dogs, noisy neighbors, construction racket
  • Ask the person to sleep on their side, turned away from you. This usually helps, although if you have a very keen sense of hearing, you may not hear a difference.
  • If you wake up during the night because of the snoring, gently roll the person back onto their side.
  • The beast ways is to Count the snores! Start with 100 and count backwards, once for each snore. Since most people snore at very regular intervals, the counting will soon put you to sleep.
  • Get a Slumber Guard Anti-snoring Device

Sleep Snoring Causes and Cure

What is sleep snoring /snoring ? Sleep snoring or snoring is not only limited to single cause/reason.. In fact, there are many factors or contributers that all lead into the greater source of the problem. Snoaring actually means-

a noise caused by vibration from the airways of the respiratory tract that only appears during sleep. Why only we experience snoring during restful moments? As we know , we breathe 24/7, the likelihood that one snores during waking hours is very slim. This is due to the factor that only relaxed muscles can result to snoring. During sleep, all our voluntary muscles are relaxed. The throat, in the same way as the triceps are relaxed is also resting while we sleep. The fact that tissues in the throat are soft, adds to the eventual output of vibrating sounds. Once this tissue eases out, the passage of air will turn into a narrower passage results in more friction because of narrowed passage this is the main cause of vibration .Thus , we can say that friction is the main cause of sleep snoring

These same factors are also pointed as the reasons why there are differences in the loudness, pitch and tone of snores.

So, Loudness of snore is directly proportional to the friction caused , more the friction more the loudness means-

The loudness of snore is affected by the force of the wind that comes through the air passages. Therefore, when the speed of wind is faster, the snore, in general, is louder and more resonant. This answers why babies are capable of snoring too. However, theirs is not typically considered as snoring but only as mild noises created by the respiratory tract. This must never be ignored though since it may be the early sign that something is jammed in your child's respiration tunnel. SNORING / SLEEP SNORING IS NOT GENDER SPECIFIC

But, men are more often affected than women and middle-aged men are most likely to be the victims. This is due to the reason that men have neck wider than women's neck. This factor combined with the speed of air, the result is most likely to be snoring.

What makes women snore less while sleeping?

By nature progesterone hormone which is present in woman inhibit snoring, thus they are less susceptible towards the irritable sounds. Because this actual hormone helps in relieving a person from this nighttime dilemma,

Some anti-snoring devices are known to use progesterone as their basic ingredient. Lifestyle and health factors that are responsible for snoring include: -Air path clogs caused by Allergies -Drying of the nasal cavities due to several elements like allergy medications. -snoring caused by Cold and flu

-snoring caused by Excessive alcohol intake. -Thickening of the tissues along the nasal passage. -Abnormally large belly or guts. - Irritation of the air passages due to overuse of nasal sprays. -Abnormal enlargement of the tonsils or the adenoids. -Smoking which causes inflammation in the air passages. - Swelling of the thyroid gland or goiter. - Blockage of the airflow due to large tongue. -Medications that initiate relaxation -Obesity -Inefficient neural control on the nasal membranes.

-Allergies, asthma, a cold, or sinus infections - Blocked airways make inhalation difficult and create a vacuum in the throat, leading to snoring
